Special Needs Access Work 2020

We will be carrying out the following modifications during 2020 to ensure Scoil Mhuire is fully accessible to all students, staff and visitors:
​
- installation of raised platforms at yard entrances
- new doors at yard entrances
- new, wider doors where required internally
- installation of a platform
- new accessible shower room/WC extension.

Classroom/Special Class Suite Extension 2020

The Dept of Education have granted funding for a major extension project in Scoil Mhuire. This will comprise of additional mainstream classrooms and a state of the art, custom built, two room ASD suite. This suite will include two ASD classrooms (six pupils in each), central activities space, safe spaces, para-educational room, sensory room, laundry, offices and toilet facilities.

A Design Team for the project was appointed in November 2020.
